This initial assessment allows me to understand your situation in depth and get to know both you and your dog before beginning any training or behavior modification program. During this first appointment, we will:
- Assess your current situation and any behavioral issues
- Understand your goals, needs, and expectations
- Get to know your dog’s personality, background, and daily environment
- Review key factors like health, equipment, routine, and diet
- Provide initial insights and guidance to begin improving your dog’s behavior
This first appointment lasts 2 hours and is conducted via videoconference. We’ve chosen this format to ensure your dog remains relaxed in a familiar environment and to allow for open, uninterrupted discussion—without the pressure of hosting a stranger in your home during this important first step.
For optimal support in addressing a behavioral issue, we strongly recommend choosing the package: initial consultation + 1 in-person session (see below).
At the end of this assessment, you’ll receive:
– the first changes to implement
– defined objectives
– a tailor-made program
We’ll tailor practical lessons and exercises (for dog training or behavior consultation) to help you achieve your goals.

During this first appointment, I will help you identify the type of dog that will best fit your lifestyle to meet both your expectations and its needs. Choosing your future dog should consider its specific traits as well as yours: your activities, daily routine, family, environment, etc.
Once you’ve made your choice, you may feel a bit overwhelmed by the arrival of your new companion… The first appointment is also intended to help you get ready for the arrival of your new companion, so you can immediately adopt the right habits and establish good practices. This initial meeting can be arranged for adopting a puppy as well as an adult or even a senior dog.
