Adopting a dog can become a stressful experience for humans when faced with an unfamiliar species and its behaviors. Happy Dogs is here to provide you with the help you need to better understand your dog and communicate with him. This forms the foundation for establishing a relationship of trust and mutual respect with your dog.
Working together
Many of our customers have already testified to their satisfaction in working with us! The first step to start this adventure together is to send us an email:
First, we’ll do an initial assessment to understand your needs and make sure we’re meeting your requirements. Then, thanks to regular practical lessons, we’ll work together to help you evolve serenely in your daily life with your 4-legged companion.
Our teaching objective is twofold: we teach behavior to dogs, and we also teach behavior to the humans who accompany them. Your dog is as unique as you are. We’ll tailor a program to suit your life and your dog.
A holistic approach
To help you, we adopt a holistic, empathetic strategy that takes into account the interaction between several factors that influence a dog’s well-being and behavior: species & individual needs, nutrition, environment, physical health and emotions. The emphasis is on identifying the root causes in order to solve the problem.
Happy Dogs® bases its work on behavioral science, respect for the individual and cooperation. Our primary goal is to help your dog find a balance between his need to express his natural behaviors and the needs of his human family. What’s a problem for you is usually not a problem for your dog.
Ethics is the principle that determines our choice of methods. At all times, your dog’s physical and emotional well-being will be respected. We therefore avoid any use of force, threat and/or physical and psychological coercion on your pet.
